This policy explains what information Court Crafted collects when you visit courtcrafted.store, why we collect it, and what your rights are. We try to keep this short and plain — if anything is unclear, email support@courtcrafted.store and a real person will reply.

Court Crafted is operated as a sole proprietorship based in Goa, India. References to "we", "us", or "Court Crafted" in this policy mean that proprietorship.

1. What we collect

We collect only what we need to run a store and ship you a bag.

You give us directly:

Name, email address, shipping address, billing address, phone number — when you place an order or sign up for our email list.
Order details and any notes you add at checkout.
Anything you write to us by email.

Collected automatically when you browse:

Device, browser, IP address, pages visited, referring URL, and similar usage data — through cookies and analytics tools (see §4).
Cart contents, so we can save your cart and, if you opt in, send abandoned-cart emails.

Collected by our payment processor (we do not see this):

Card / UPI / netbanking details are entered directly with our payment provider (Razorpay or Cashfree). We never see or store your full card number, CVV, or UPI PIN.

2. Why we collect it

To process your order — fulfilment, shipping, returns, refunds, GST-compliant invoicing.
To talk to you about your order — confirmations, dispatch and delivery updates, replies to your support emails.
To send marketing, only if you've opted in — new launches, restocks, occasional offers. You can unsubscribe from the link in every email.
To make the store work better — analytics, fraud prevention, debugging.
To meet legal obligations — tax records, GST filings, responding to lawful requests from authorities.

3. Who we share it with

We share information only with service providers who help us run the store, and only the data they need:

Shopify — store hosting, checkout, customer accounts.
Razorpay / Cashfree — payment processing.
Shiprocket / Delhivery (or the courier we route through them) — shipping and tracking.
Email/marketing tools (e.g. Shopify Email, Klaviyo) — sending order and marketing emails.
Analytics (Google Analytics, Meta, PostHog) — understanding traffic and improving the store.
Government and tax authorities — when required by Indian law.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your email with anyone for their own marketing.

4. Cookies and similar tech

We use cookies for three things: keeping you logged in and your cart saved, analytics, and ads. Where required, we ask for your consent before non-essential cookies load. You can disable cookies in your browser, but parts of checkout may stop working.

5. How long we keep it

Order and tax records: 8 years, as required by Indian tax law.
Customer accounts: until you ask us to delete them.
Marketing email list: until you unsubscribe.
Anonymous analytics: up to 26 months.

6. Your rights (India DPDP Act, 2023)

You have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you.
Correct anything that's wrong.
Erase data, where we don't have a legal reason to keep it (we're required to keep order/tax records for 8 years).
Withdraw consent for marketing at any time.
Nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity.
Complain to the Data Protection Board of India if you think we've mishandled your data.

To exercise any of these rights, email support@courtcrafted.store with the subject line "Privacy request". We'll respond within 30 days.

7. Grievance Officer

Under the DPDP Act and the IT Rules, we are required to publish a grievance contact:

8. Children

Court Crafted is not directed at children under 18. We don't knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe we have, email us and we'll delete it.

9. International transfers

Some of our service providers (e.g. Shopify, Google) host data outside India. By using the store you consent to your data being processed in those jurisdictions, with the safeguards those providers contractually offer.
